Compliance
Working-time records that survive an inspection
Recording each employee’s working day has been compulsory in Spain since Royal Decree-Law 8/2019. Not doing it is a serious offence, fined between €751 and €7,500 per workplace. Horix is built for companies operating in Spain and covers what the rule actually asks for.

Every company in Spain has had to keep a daily working-time record since 2019. Each employee logs their start, end and breaks at the real time, from a phone, a computer or a shared tablet kiosk.
Nothing changes without a trace
Every entry keeps the time it was actually recorded. If it later needs correcting, Horix keeps the original value and notes who changed it, when and why. The audit log stores the before and after of every change.
Kept for four years
Records are retained for the four years the law requires, available to employees, their legal representatives and the Labour Inspectorate.
Reports and an Inspectorate API
Export the records to PDF and CSV whenever you want, and Horix ships an authenticated API for the Labour Inspectorate. No rebuilding spreadsheets the night before.
Ready for digital-only records
The regulation on digital working-time records is still going through the legislative process and is not in force. Horix already does what the draft asks for: digital, traceable, retained and deliverable remotely.
No biometrics
Clocking in uses no biometric data: it happens in the browser, or with a per-employee PIN on the kiosk. That is one less category of special data for your company to protect.

FAQ
What companies ask us before starting
Does Horix satisfy the Spanish daily working-time record?
Yes. Article 34.9 of the Workers’ Statute, introduced by Royal Decree-Law 8/2019, requires every company in Spain to record the start and end of each employee’s working day. Horix stores those entries, keeps them for four years and exports them for the Labour Inspectorate.
Do you really not charge per user?
Correct. Horix is a flat monthly price regardless of how many employees you have inside your band. On the SME plan (€49/month) you can have 26 or 50 employees for the same price.
Is the app itself in English?
Not yet. The website, onboarding, contracts and support are in English; the employee app is currently in Spanish. Clocking in is one button, and we set the account up with you so nobody is left guessing.
How long does setup take?
Most companies are running in under 30 minutes. You create the account, invite your team by email and that is it. No installation, no complex configuration.
What about employees without a company phone or email?
They clock in on a shared tablet with a personal PIN. Horix does not require an email address for those staff, which is how hospitality and retail teams usually run it.
Do you use fingerprints or facial recognition?
No. Horix uses a username and PIN, never biometrics, so you are not processing special category data under Article 9 GDPR and you do not need the extra safeguards the Spanish DPA expects for biometric clock-ins.
Can I change plan or cancel at any time?
Yes. No lock-in. You can move up or down a plan whenever you want and cancel with one click. Your data is kept for 30 days in case you change your mind.
